#addict Angel dust

A quick prediction about HH’s Poison:

(Disclaimer: these aren’t leaks these are literally just my guesses based on a few tiny context clues. I could easily be wrong about these and most likely will be—but I like to think about these things—)

So. Like I said above, I may be wrong but, I’ve seen people talking about what context Angel Dust’s song, “Poison”, will be in, and I think it’s going to be a dream ballet/imagined sequence.

Or. In this case a dream pop ballad, I guess.

I don’t have a ton of evidence of course, but this thought came to me when I noticed the red smoky swirl in this shot of Angel from the trailer:

We see him lying on his bed with his cellphone, being surrounded by the aforementioned smoke swirl.

I wasn’t sure what that smoke was at first, until I rewatched Addict after Poison came out:

The red smoke is pretty consistently used in Addict to represent Val and his control over Angel. I actually think this symbolism was done pretty well in the Addict MV—especially with the ending part where Angel is seemingly reminded of Val by his cigarette and then discards it, paralleling how he’s trying to get out of his relationship w/i Val.

IF—and that is a pretty big if—the HH series is using the red smoke to symbolize Val in the same way, I think there’s a good chance that Poison will actually start with him reflecting on his past and abusive relationship w/i Val.

Maybe he got a text or contact from Val on his phone, and is ruminating on his past while he lies in bed, debating on if he should reply or not. The swirl of smoke could also be from a cigarette or incense or smthing-it swirls around Angel while he’s thinking in his room, and it transitions into Angel’s imagination or memories of his time at the studio and the song “Poison”.

I know this could be a stretch to put it lightly, but I also think there’s a good chance this could be how the scene goes based on the other clips we’ve seen from the setting of Poison and the trailer:

I’ve seen people theorizing that the dance scene in Poison is a music video shoot in the hotel. And while that’s definitely still possible, the setting of the dance scene that isn’t the big blue screens looks like it could potentially be the same courtyard from the porn studio.

I’m theorizing that the Poison dance sequence takes place inside Angel Dust’s head, either as a memory, or a dream ballet sort of situation. I think this is also partially supported by how undefined and shadowy his background dancers are, but they could also just look like they for the trailer, and may be more than silhouettes in the show proper.
